Not long ago this typewriter was a very unloved, non-functional and sad looking thing. It was coated in what I can only assume to be 60-70 years worth of dirt/grime, oil, grease, hair and dust.
 
I bought this typewriter as a 'prop' and brought it back from its state of deep neglect. It now has a new lease of life with some signs of the journey it has been on in its existence. In short - it has plenty of character!
 
On top of cleaning out this machine, I have fitted it with a fresh black & red ribbon. The keys are free and the bell charms nicely. If I had a desk I'd keep it, but it needs a new home.
 
If you're looking for a functional statement piece, this could be for you. It's not a portable typewriter though, it's rather heavy as it's essentially a chunk of metal.
